ABOUT

I am a fashion designer from Amsterdam, graduated in fashion design at the Academy of the Arts in Arnhem. After my internships at Ann Demeulemeester, Acne Studios, Charles Jeffrey Loverboy and Jan-Jan van Essche I started my own label to bring my own vision to life.

I always had a passion for music and the culture and community the artists are part of. I see a lot of parallels to their world and fashion. They both define the spirit of their time. I love to dive into their influences, to find the source of what moves them and to translate that to a modern view on fashion with a nostalgic and romantic spirit. For me it is a place where modernism, poetry, nostalgia, creation and joy come together.

For me it is really important that textile development and design go hand in hand. When I envision the poetic and nostalgic nature of the people who wear my garments I think of fabric in movement. For me it is important that the garments are wearable, but they need courage and determination to be worn. The designs and materials I use are in a constant conversation between fragility and empowerment. The pieces I create are in juxtaposition to the ideas on femininity and masculinity and are androgynous by nature.
